Data Deletion Policy

Google Play Store & Apple App Store Requirement

This page fulfils the data deletion requirements for the Google Play Store (Data safety section) and Apple App Store (Privacy section). Users can request complete account and data deletion using the methods below.


1. Overview

Carrum Mobility Solutions Private Limited respects your right to erasure of personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and applicable law. This page describes how to request deletion of your personal data from CarrumConnect, what data will be deleted, what must be retained for legal compliance, and the timeline for processing.


2. How to Request Deletion

Send an email to support@carrum.co.in with:

  • Subject: Account Deletion Request
  • Your full name
  • Your registered mobile phone number
  • A brief statement: "I request deletion of my CarrumConnect account and all associated personal data."

We will send a verification reply to confirm your identity before proceeding.


3. Identity Verification

To prevent unauthorised deletion, we verify your identity before acting on a request. We will send a confirmation to your registered mobile number or email address โ€” you must respond to it within 72 hours to proceed.


4. Data That Will Be Deleted

Within 30 days of a verified and complete request, the following data will be permanently deleted:

5. Data We Must Retain

Certain data is subject to mandatory retention under law even after a deletion request. This data is isolated from active systems and automatically purged when the retention period expires:

6. Processing Timeline

DPDP Act Compliance

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are required to respond to erasure requests within a reasonable period. Our target response is 30 days from receipt of a verified request.


7. Third-Party Data

Where your data has been processed by sub-processors (Google Firebase, Sentry, Chatwoot) under data processing terms, we will notify them of your deletion request. Deletion timelines at those processors are governed by their respective policies.


8. Effect of Account Deletion

After your data is deleted:

  • You will permanently lose access to your account, all messages, and any data associated with it.
  • The deletion cannot be reversed.
  • Your registered phone number becomes available for re-registration should you be re-onboarded by Carrum in the future.
